Five days until release
A classic, the original colourway and still as good as ever. This element of the beckenbauer releases is the essential one for us. As an everyday casual shoe it is right up there with the best and with the current U.K. weather its one that will stand up and be counted.

Six days until release
The Adidas 1609ER is a vintage level only product with a very familiar silhouette. Its fairly obvious what this is. Due to another brand having the name that Adidas wanted to give this shoe they chose this snappy monicker. Its a classic colurway that cant fail really on a great shoe, winner number one for 2010!

Upcoming Puma Top Winner and Roma 68
After the success of the Suede Classics it look like Puma have managed to apply the same good sense to two more of their classics. This time its the Top Winner and the Roma 68. Logically they have take the shapes back to the originals ( no cuts made purely for the sake of being contempory) and used the classic, simple colourways that mde the shoes what they were. The gum sole on the Top Winner is a real beauty although this could be a bit of bias as i have a real soft spot for this shoe.
Due to be released in the second week of December and like the Suede Classic at a very good price, check the Ran Website for them when they're out or our Twitter Account for up to the minute info on release dates.

More Puma Suede Classics
The series of Suede Classics has been a real success so far. Sometimes something comes along and despite personal tatse you wonder if other people understand the stand point this personal tatse comes from. The great reception of this collection is one of those times were you know that people do share that personal taste.
Great shoes in good colours, the right price (why would a re-issue cost so much more than when they were first around, all the R & D has been done, the moulds and lasts are there, where does the cost come from?), and not too many of them around.
The third installment (and last one for this year) are released on the 12th of November and are every bit as good as the two previous. For those who want more than one we have a little something to say thank you , get in touch if you want to know more.
Its a very welcome return to a classic that doesnt get the recognition it deserves in our opinion, it looks like you share our view, thank you!

Adidas X Nom De Guerre Forum Mid
Finally in after what seems like an eternity are the final element of the 5 2 3 package. In typical Nom De Guerre style these are very subtle colour wise but the detailing is outstanding. Fantastic leathers and the zip feature doesnt dominate like it does on the pictures, just brings out the shape of the Forum.
In the Manchester store soon and online tonight.
We are very pleasantly suprised by these, we think you will be too.
EDIT: These are now live on the site Adidas Nome De Guerre Forum Mid

Fred Perry British Millerain Wax Shooting Jacket
Just in today (so up on the site tonight) this hybrid jacket from Fred Perry is very impressive.
A 'Harrington' style jacket using the famous British Millerain waxed fabric with the detailing you'd expect from a field shooting jacket. Padding to the right shoulder and elbows, lined in a tartan check, leather toggles on the zips, snap close pockets and zip cover, the feature list goes on.
And it's made in England

New 80s Casuals and Casual Connoisseur
We really like the way that the Casual T-Shirts Brands have been forced into being a lot more creative with their designs. The clamping down by the 'big boys' has seemed to make them really think about what they are doing and not just use an old photograph or advert.
The T's with the above new designs will be up soon but are available in the shops now.

Adidas Torsion sp Goretex, Vintage line and more
Adidas Vintage line footwear is always something to look forward to. Add a few new lower line pieces and its a very nice delivery.
The Torsion SP is Goretex and really much better than the sample, the 8000 complements it nicely while the gazelle is a little different from the sample but still a great shoe and the gum sole is just great on this one.
The ZX boots are an 'aquired' taste but its good to see something different being done. The winter high reminds of the GSG9 boot from a few season ago while the 700 boat is so far out there it stands on its own.
All in store very shortly and online soon.
Vintage line is only available in our Manchester store and online, sorry Liverpool!

Blue Bell Wrangler Shirts and T-Shirts are finally up. This vintage inspired collection really does put many other big denim brands to shame. Effortlessly updated shapes in fine materials and contempory colours. Denim and sweats up soon, take a look here.

Fred Perry Waxed Millerain Fabric 'Harrington'. This pretty much defines what makes us happy, in clothes at least. A classic dealt a twist with sensitivity, the British Millerain fabric just about makes this jacket perfect, weatherproof and cut with an elan most just dont get. The check is just the icing on the cake. In stores now and online shortly...

nice free stuff
A lot has been said about the actual trainers (good and bad) but the extras that come with them are a very welcome addition. How often is it that you get a free Headporter bag? The laces with the XLarge Superstar 80s work very well too.
All are online now www.ranshop.co.uk

clyde bring back
I dont think you can ever really go wrong with a clyde (well, maybe some have been wrong...). These Clyde Bring Backs are whats good about them though. Great shape, materials and simple clean and strong colours.
I suppose its a love/hate shoe, think you'll be able to guess which one i'm on.
In the shops and online today/tomorrow

Sweet Suedes
More Suedes, we know.
Better suede this time around though.
A much better profile too, lower on the sole and the toe is not as round, almost clyde-like.
Based on the 1978 version the fit and look is much sleeker, not as bulky and dominant as the versions around lately.
These are part of a series of European only releases over the next three months.
Three colours per month, cheap (as a suede should be), only available to select accounts and in store very soon.
Just had word from Puma that the official release date for these will be the 20th of August, look out for them then....
Friday, 14 August 2009
So most of them have finally turned up. The adidas 5 2 3 pack has been quite intriguing from the off. No pictures, little information and very strict instruction on what can and cant be said.
Still under that instruction this is what we can say, they're much better than most people have given them credit.
They are very limited (not in a TRX way, in a we hardly have any way).
They are out on the 20th of August.
There are no privileges to anyone regarding them, you get 'em by being there first.
Prices aren't as high as first thought.
There are no more.
Oh, and the Head Porter comes with a Tote Bag, nice.

Volta
We have been looking forward to these for such a long time.
Italian leathers, great design and rich colours. They will be here soon, but not soon enough for us.
We have had these lined up for over nine months now, well, the best things come to those who wait and wait and wait....
More images at Volta
Many thanks to Mauro
